Samsung Galaxys banned from sale in Europe after dutch ruling
The patent battle between Apple and Samsung reached a new low today, with Apple today winning a Europe wide ban on the sale of Samsung’s Galaxy SII, S and Ace mobile phones. The ruling was after a dutch judge declared them in breach of a patent to do with how a screen bounces when moving between images in the Samsung gallery app, a part of Touchwiz.
Samsung have 7 weeks to get a defence together and counter, Apple are already said to be asking for shipments to be stopped.
Good news is though that another patent was thrown out relating to the Galaxy Tab issues.
Seriously, this patent stuff is BS. Apple do everyone a favour and actually release something this decade and stop being such a troll. You didn’t invent the mobile phone and you can’t patent everything.
If it carries on like this we may see Google making a snap at HP and grabbing all those lovely Palm patents, which basically cover any touchscreen usage along with Motos, which would be a shame for everyone else.
