Samsung Galaxy S III to launch in April?

Article by on Wednesday, 21 March 2012

The official word on the most hotly anticipated phone for 2012 is that it will launch in the first half of 2012. When exactly is anyone’s guess but clever money would be on June to coincide with any Apple releases that may or may not happen.

There are rumours a plenty about the new god-phone, capacitive changing, incredible displays etc. etc. but so far not even a squeak of “official” confirmation.

However unofficially there is discussion that a launch could be as soon as April.  The news comes via Maeli Business News, which cites Samsung Greater China President, Kim Young-Ha.

The revised timescale was mentioned during a press conference.

Rumoured Samsung Galaxy S III specs are: display: somewhere in the 4.6-4.8in region, camera: 8-12MP , NFC for contactless payments,  a quad-core Exynos processor, and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).
