Newzoo is a market research group with a focus on gaming, and it’s come out with a new report,  which reveals that iOS accounts for majority of the people who play mobile games, and where the most revenue is generated.

Newzoo surveyed 17,000 people and looked at Android and iOS data for the top 200 grossing games, where In the US, 19 million peeps play on an iPhone, 28% of all smartphone gamers, 18 million play on an iPod touch, and 12.7 million use an iPad.

Android accounts for just 6% of gaming revenue in the UK, the lowest of all countries, which is speculated to be because we don’t have the Amazon Kindle Fire yet.Which accounts for 18 million Android devices in the US.

Despite accounting for less than half of all devices (Android takes that crown)  iOS claims 84% of revenue across the App Store and Google Play, while an incredible 91% of all revenue (iOS and Android) comes from in-app purchases.
