Galaxy SIII appears on official site, reportedly still under review
The Samsung Galaxy S line of Android smartphones has undoubtedly been a huge success for the company, and it satisfies the customers looking for a smart phone sporting a huge screen as well as the latest, most powerful technology.
Furthermore, their Galaxy S line has reached such success that Google decided to use Samsung’s galaxy line of phones for their new Nexus, even giving up the old naming system, allowing Samsung’s Galaxy branding to come before the Nexus product name.
That was the birth of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but what about Samsung’s own Galaxy S line?
Lately, we have heard many rumors about what will be announced at the Mobile World Congress this year, the Samsung Galaxy S III was one of the anticipated phones. However, this rumor has been blown out of the water lately, and even Samsung’s own executives are saying that the whole Samsung Galaxy III thing is under review, and they are yet to decide on an exact date according to the Samsung executive Lee Younghee, which almost confirms there will be no announcement just yet.
With all this said, it seems someone at Samsung might have accidentally put up the Galaxy S III in the company’s Global Download Center, under the name GT-I9300, which is the expected name for the S III, as it can clearly be found in the list of mobile devices in the download center.
Samsung may simply be waiting for the company’s software engineers to finish its modifications of the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. However, no matter when we will actually see this new handset in stores, it will be a huge seller as soon as its out.
