Unlock Ku990 and more for free

SUPPORTED MODELS:

KU800 2007 VERSIONS !!!/U990/KU990/KU380/CU400/CU405/CU500/CU500V/CU320/TU500/TU550/MU500/MU550

1. DOWNLOAD LGMDP AND MAKE BACKUP OF NV (USE WINDOWS ENABLE SOFT TO SELECT NV BACKUP ONLY AND ENABLE START AFTER THAT YOU CAN GET FROM HERE http://rapidshare.com/files/96125231/wm.rar.html
2. DOWNLOAD MTTY FROM http://rapidshare.com/files/96122802/mtty.exe.html
3. OPEN MTTY AND SELECT PORT ON WHICH MODEM USB PORT OF PHONE IS ASSIGNED
4. AFTER WINDOW OPENS TYPE 'AT%SWV' (WITHOUT QUOTES) AND PRESS ENTER. IF YOU GET REPLY ALL IS OK
4. TYPE 'AT%IDDE' (WITHOUT QUOTES) AND PRESS ENTER. IF YOU GET IDDE OK MEAN PHONE SUCCESFULLY UNLOCK
5. DON'T POWER OFF PHONE. USE LGMDP TO RESTORE NV.

6. ENJOY A SUCCESSFULLY UNLOCK PHONE.

P.S: CAN AFTER 'AT%IMEI=WANTED IMEI' TO CHANGE IMEI

THIS SOLUTION WONT WORK ON KU580 SEMC A2 PLATFORM, KS20, KU730, KU950 AND PROBABLY KU250 ASWELL.

Success! after much fiddling to get access to the modem settings, my O2 phone is now unlocked -and tested with a t-mobile sim.

Is it possible for someone who has done this, to provide some more detailed (maybe newbie) instructions for performing this unlock?

I'm sure it's very straightforward, but perhaps we can head off the inevitable posts from "people not so sure what they are doing".

I'll have a go and post up an alternative host for all of the programs needed (as the last one doesn't have a link & I had to search for it, plus I hate using rapidshare & know some folk can't get it to work).
