I dont know if this has been discussed. when you chose slide show theme, and after the screen is inactive for a period of times, u can't do anything else than chose next or previous background. which mean u can't access to the menu. is there any fix yet?

Guys, I wanna thank you all for this amazing theme, I love it!!!

But I'm slightly confused now. Is it or is it not posible to put your own wallpaper on this theme?!

I read all the comments, and I read the instructions couple of times. And I went by them, but home screen becomes black each and every time. I can't replace these ribbons with a simple jpg as home screen wallpaper.

Gosh! Help me.

You obviously didn't read very hard, or well. To use your own picture as the wallpaper, you need to add it to the slideshow, then you can pause it on your picture.

To do this, you need to make your picture 240x400 and add it to the Files > Images foler. Then you need to add your picture to the slideShow.xml located in Files.

You need to add this to the slideshow:

<pic>
<filename>"Name of your picture".jpg</filename>
</pic>

To make the pause button invisible, you need to edit the params.xml file.

hey joe... i dont know if anyone asked this yet... but can you add a sliding unlock bar with the ifish background and a moving clock??? if you can that would be super cool!!! thanks....

I'd prefer that you didn't actually. I like not having to slide a silly bar to get to the menu. But if you can integrate this in addition to the other themes for the homescreen such as slideshow, fire etc. then feel free.

On that note, will there be an update any time soon?

Brilliant theme. I was using Slide and then stumbled across this theme. This is now my default theme. It's miles better than anything else I've used at the moment because of how easy it is to get to everything. And it all works!!

hey guys this is my 2nd favorite theme, i was just wondering if i it was possible to instead of editing the slide show to look for every pic could we not just point it to a folder?

Also while im asking is it possible to get the slide show to play Gif or Swf images?

I don´t know but it doesn´t works perfect on my Viewty

first i have tried to use it as a standalone theme, but it doesnt´t works... then i use the theme with the theme manager 3.2 and it works.

the problem is: when i copy the theme_bg2 to the swf/theme directory the theme doesn´t start

please help me...

Sorry folks have been away for a bit. I will try and get that bug with the slideshow sorted.
@people: you can use any picture want as bg (set through the themes section) or add it to the slideshow and pause. Essentially the slideshow should not use any more CPU/memory than a normal bg when run because it only loads the current image into memory then unloads it again before displayin the next one, altho several ppl have noticed a decrease in battery life - i will see if anything can be done about this.

As for editing icons/having a bg for the cube sorry but as people have said these are in frames and editing would take much work.

Anyway soon (a few days) I will present you with my new theme, it is essentially an upgrade to the shortcuts screen, that allows you to have 5 screens of shortcuts which can be flicked between each other and zoomed in/out.
BTW if anyone has any good iconsets with 45+ icons in get in touch cos im using the standard viewty icons for testing but theres only 25 of them so I got some blank space.
Oh and the entire thing is written in code (2200+ lines atm & counting), it autodetects which theme you've replaced and uses the correct menu background, and the clock gets the 12/24 hour setting from the Viewty settings. And its written to be themeable so you will be able to switch themes/iconsets while the theme is running
