Not sure about removing the operator logo, I just tried changing the order of the Themes in the ThemeList.txt, so that I could turn it off using the black theme and then switching to MiniRev, but that doesnt work

Its wierd because on Windows Viewty it is now off by default.

Anyone got a link to the original Voda UK ribbons theme btw? The link to the old forum is dead.

Try getting the shortcuts visible in a standard theme (one that came with the phone or a theme that use shortcut.swf). That should probably remove it in my theme.

If there's another thread on this, please excuse my stupidity... but... for want of better words, can you please explain what this app does?

Does it simply execute the chosen .swf file as if it were theme_bg2.swf? The one thing I don't understand is what happens to the \LGAPP\Media\theme\1 folder and all its subfolders of BMPs that is changed on various themes (e.g. Uxy iFish, Simpsons V2)? Is this folder structure now not necessary and are the themes that use it incompatible with the Theme Manager?

Or alternatively does the Theme Manager swap in and out this entire folder structure? It sounds a fantastic idea and has been on my wish list for months, I guess I just want to understand what it does before I set it up Thanks!

Next the "ThemeList.txt" file must be installed to one of the following three locations:

1) Create a folder on the memory card called "Themes" and copy "ThemeList.txt" into that folder.
2) Using LG PC Suite navigate to the Documents folder on the phone and create a folder called "Themes" and copy "ThemeList.txt" into that folder.
3) Using EFS Media Builder navigate to "LGAPP/Media/swf/theme" and copy "ThemeList.txt" into that folder.

Note: "Themes" must retain the upper-case T.

Question 1:
Just one of the 3 locations... all the 3 locations is also fine right (only problem being one has to change the file in all locations when new theme is added) ?

And I guess the 1st location is the most prefered one ...


And the next question..

If I have 3 themes which use theme_bg3.swf like

And finally

How to add more themes.
Use a text editor to open the newly installed "ThemeList.txt" file and add the location of any themes you wish to use.

Say I use MinRevV2
which says

Put theme_bg2.swf in /LGAPP/Media/swf/theme/
Put the Img folder in /LGAPP/Media/swf/
Put menu.xml in /LGAPP/Media/swf/

I would just create a folder //mmc1/Themes/MinRevV2 (in memory stick)
and dump theme_bg2.swf, menu.xml and folder Img in it.

Rename theme_bg2.swf to MinRevV2.swf
Add the entry
<MinRevV2 path="//mmc1/Themes/MinRevV2/MinRevV2.swf" themename="MinRevV2"/>

in ThemeList.txt... and I m done

And similarly for TheCore1.2

Open EFS MedialModule Builder and go to phone folder "/LGAPP/Media/swf/".
Write folders "Img", "Icons" and "Extend" to phone.
Go to phone folder "/LGAPP/Media/swf/theme/" and go to PC folder "theme".
Write files "theme_bg2.swf' and updated "params.txt" to phone.
Go to phone folder "/LGAPP/Media/Theme/".
Delete phone folder "1" and write folder "1" to phone.

I would just create a folder //mmc1/Themes/TheCore (in memory stick)
and dump theme_bg2.swf, params.txt and folders Img, Icons, Extend and 1 in it.

Rename theme_bg2.swf to TheCore.swf
Add the entry
<TheCore path="//mmc1/Themes/TheCore/TheCore.swf" themename="TheCore"/>

in ThemeList.txt... and I m done

this theme manager has been working great for me, thank you for your hard work.

the only question i've is that, does it totally remove the delete function of that "c" button? i was dialing a number but now i can't delete the digits at all...any solutions?
