satio internet problems

just switched phones with brother and got the satio.put my orange pay as you go sim card in with plenty of credit and everything works fine make and receive calls no problem. but when i try to get on the internet it wont let me the 3g icon is on ,so when i go to connections and press wap services "contract wap" IT SAYS PACKET DATA.do i need to upgrade my sim card or is it maybe a problem because my brothers sim card was avodaphone pay as you go. i can get on the internet through my wifi via the router but then you have to be in the same room.maybe i have something switched off on the phone.hope someone can help if not then the bin for this handset.

Problem is that your brother had put a Vodafone SIM and now the WAP settings are for Vodafone. You just need to call the Orange service and tell them to send you the wap settings for your Sony Ericsson Satio. When you will receive them enter the password they will tell you and you sould be fine
