Default K850i - DEAD!

Ok guys, one of my mates has asked me to look at his phone. This is now the second time. The first time the screen wouldn't come on so I used the update service at SE and it brought it back to life. Now approx 3 months later he says that he can't get the phone to switch on? I took a look at it and when I put it on charge it vibrates a random couple of times and then nothing. Looking at the power switch it now glows red? I left the phone on charge overnight but nothing. Connected it up to the PC and still nothing. Obviously using SE update and holding C button when plugging in usb lead, still nothing. Can't use another battery as don't have one. Is it beyond repair?

Probably, SE phones have a tendency to brick themselves, or get themselves bricked when the user tries to do something it doesn't support.

I had W550i a while ago, had to get it repaired no less than 5 times.

Take it back on warranty if you can

Unfortunately warranty has expired. Oh well it's about time he got a new phone anyway!

Less you got a GDFS back up I would say it was bricked.

I had the same problem with a 890i where it would vibrate and the light would come on for about 5 seconds and then nothing. I flashed it a few times with various firmwares but then i just gave up assuming it was bricked and cos the cost of getting it repaired proffesionally wasnt worth it.
