It's great, but it takes ages to download The Netherlands from 0 to 16 zoom o.0 it already takes 7 hours so i am going to shut it down-.-

what is the difference between slow and detailed and fast and rough? The other day i did this on slow and detailed entire map of the UK. loaded it on my memory card and away i went then realised everything on the phone was freezing up couldnt play music etc. Then i realised there were 33000 files in the map folder!!!
So whats the downside in fast and rough before i download it all in "fast and rough"

Yes i know what you mean :P but the downloading of the map pieces takes to long :P

"Fast and rough" or "slow and detailed" appears to only impact the selection of tiles from your drawn polygon. The map tiles downloaded aren't any more or less detailed.

"Fast and rough" uses larger blocks that extend more beyond your selected polygon, and "slow and detailed" uses smaller blocks, thus more accurately selecting just the area you have drawn.

This is my experience, at least.

A general comment: When downloading detailed maps over large areas (say, Holland?) it will be a good idea to select "hash size = 1" and
select more than one tile per file. I think i used 64 for a map over most of southern Norway.

That reduces the number of files, as well as the wasted space on your memory card. (Even small files must use at least one block of memory...)

Also, you hardly need detailed maps over an entire country. I first download detailed map tiles (say level 13-16) for the places I'm likely to need it for (cities, towns etc), then less detailed tiles (0-12) for the whole country. This works great for me, at least.

i don't know why it doesnt work for me, i tried everything, i tried to store london map, i don't know if it's too big the map or which level i have to use or the map type (in some place says that doesnt work with google map) or maybe the application is not installed very and isn't allowed to use the stored maps (because i used the .jar because the .jad has a error message)

any help or
