Hi All,

I see the thread is not active some time but this is the right place for my question.
As many others I have issues with this application an KU990, specifically with the stored maps (online maps work with no problems). The problem is that when I try to set the path for the stored maps on my memory card, when I hit browse, I get nothing (just "/" on the top of the screen). As I gather, this is because the application is forbidden to use the filesystem on the phone??
Can this be solved by flashing another revision of the firmware on the phone?? I saw that different fw revisions are not upgrades, but was wondering if it could solve this problem. I saw some OPEN FW's, are those the solution for this??

I think to be able to load from the filesystem you need to hack the certificate files. Search on the forum for further information

I was thinking about flashing it to an new firmware (open g) but since the phone is locked to my network I woud have to unlock it first...

hi everyone, im a lucky owner of a brand new viewty and im wondering if i can do some works with him. as far i managed to install mgmaps but it seems that i can't point him to the forder where i stored the maps.
anyone can help me to write the path in the correct format?
how my phone will recognizea folder on the memory card?
i tried:
Card/MGMapsCache
Card:/MGMapsCache
but it seems that dosn't works
my maps are there but is somehow is not readable. Unlike the PC system wher with browsing you can lead to the target forlder, here i have only a text editor where i need to manualy wrote the path wich i din't know.

I've bought an LG Viewty 2 months a go and I can use Googlemaps without internet on the phone! I' ve heard that some people can't use Gmaps without internet.. How is this possible??
