Thumbs up Samsung Pixon AKA GT-M8800

Just received this yesterday and i must say wow! Probably the most impressed i have ever been with a phone and as yet i have absolutely no gripes with it.

I am curious though if anyone has developed any widgets for the touchwiz ui or even if it is possible to develop them?

would be grateful for any info as i'm willing to make my own.

Bye Bye
LG Secret

& Bye Bye
LG KU990

This is what you should have aspired to be, the Pixon. I have not yet looked at a Renoir but i don't need to, i think LG should stick to making TV's and also that it's safe to say i won't ever by another LG phone ever.

Samsung FTW.

Just wondering if anyone has a copy of the unbranded firmware for this phone and how to flash it?

I got my Pixon from ebay and even though it's unlocked and works fine, it still has a whole bunch on O2 stuff on it . In my quest to find some unbranded firmware, after searching for hours on multiple forums i managed to get a redirect to this site:

Share4gsm - home

Apparently they have the latest unbranded European firmware that comes in two parts:

http://www.share4gsm.com/index.php?s.../Samsung/m8800

74.99 MB M8800XXHK5[1].part2.rar
95.37 MB M8800XXHK5[2].part1.rar

Only downside is that you have to pay to register and only then will you be able to download the files. I haven't proceeded mainly because i don't have the time and i don't want to rush into flashing my new 300 quid phone

PS: post any info if you managed to flash yours ok, encountered any problems etc

Cheers
