Default A question about GPS on Viewty
I am considering to get a navigation software for my Viewty,

But I got a question,

Most of free GPS software do not have maps built in,

They relied on GPRS to download maps,

So I want to ask,

Do I have to get GPRS in order to navigate?

Even though I got a external GPS receiver??

The software I am talking about is similar to "amAze",

or probably Google Maps.

The Viewty does not have any GPS functionality built into it. The closest you will come is google maps

Im looking for the same thing..
Or just an working GPS app. stupid googlemap, stupid amAze gps dont work..

Well most (Real) GPS companies have the maps built-in eg. Garmin have softwares for Symbian and WinMobiles devices but ive never heard any of them support Java, and certainly not built-in maps.. so the answer is if you are using programs like Google Maps, then yes, you must have GPRS or HSDPA...
