Gps and software

i understand that you need a gps reciever on viewty but does it need to be connected to a PC ? i've heard that..i hope its not true?

how do you install the software?
how do you connect to bluetooth reciever??
does it work as good as a real gps ?
does it cost to connect to gps ? ?

it stood that you can install softwares to viewty to use toorch and paint and stuff..where do u put those files in ? and open them ?

1. Navigation software for Viewty is in Java, so you install it as ordirany Java application
2. You need a Bluetooth GPS receiver. You pair GPS with your phone and then select the device in your application (tested using TrekBuddy application)

Unfortunately there is no software for navigation (so you won't hear women with sexy voices that tell you to turn left in 500 meters), but there are programs that will mark your location on prepared maps.

wonderfull =)..what kind of program does i need to download then ? is it nav4all that everybody is talking about..i tried to download it..but they said that you need to go in to interner on your cell to download it..i tried but it ddnt work. can i download it in internet ?

nav4all requires internet connection to give you directions. But as I mentioned before, you can use TrekBuddy to show your position on map. You will need to download maps (you can generate them from google maps for example on http://gm2tb.awokenmind.de/ or use different maps as well)
