My final request about 3

My fone is working properly however, its not a 3 anymore. its more like orange. with 3 sim in it. and i manage to crack that. and its working fine. I am looking for a 3 branded firmware as i wanted to have my phone originally. If anyone could link me. the australian 3 branded firmware or have any back up file so i can have those 2 icons back. the "my 3" and "planet to 3" icons.. thanks

YES i got those .DZ. BUT when i tried to select the image. it keeps saying select u990 image. I downlaod both of the au files and could never select the image. someone help me? i got the LGMDP program.

if you look further down the first post, you see links to 2 progs, windows enabler and a modded LGMDP prog (this even states that you can do the change!!)

d/l modded LGMDP. click file->settings->allow model change.
select your image and click yes to allow model change.

if that doesn't work, d/l windows enabler. start the prog and the icon will appear in your task bar near the clock. double click icon and it will say 'on'
open your usual LGMDP (not H3G) and set to allow model change. select image and click yes to allow change.

at some point, it will probably error out. this is because it's change the s/w from what it was to H3G and the non H3G LGMDP prog don't like it.
close LGMDP open H3G LGMDP and re-flash. you shouldn't have to set it to allow model change this time.

No mate, re-flash means to re-select your .dz and upload to your phone.

oh yeah i did that. but the au version doesnt work. keeps giving the unavaliable media. but the uk 3 works =[

what do i do?

You'll need efs media buider and your phone to be on it's original firmware.
create back up folder on your desktop
connect phone to efs media builder
rename LGAPP folder to TOTO (or whatever else you want to call it), press enter then f5 (refresh)
bottom section - find your backup folder on your desktop
top section - select all files and folders, right click -> read.
this will make a complete back up of your phones file system and settings.
when it's done, rename TOTO back to LGAPP, press enter then f5.

flash your phone with your au.dz

when phone finishes, you'll get the YSOT unavailable media file again.

connect phone to efs
rename LGAPP to whatever
open folder and go to media->flex
bottom section - find back up folder and go to TOTO->MEDIA->FLEX
right click flex.ini and click write

top and bottom section - go to TOTO->media->swf
top section - right click and rename nyx_???_menu.swf to the same as in the bottom

top section, left side - click the root folder (first one) to collapse the folders.
rename TOTO back to LGAPP, press enter then f5
click disconnect.

hopefully (fingers, toes, legs, arms and eyes x'd) this should solve your problem.

if not, you'll have to do a bit more experimenting with the files.
