Anyone who dislikes Itunes google sharepod its a fantastic program for transfering songs to yer ipod

A good little program to sync "other" mp3 players with iTunes is iTunes Agent. Google it. Dead easy to set up.

PS. Just going back to the WMP over iTunes debate: WMP is far slower at all operations in my opinion.
Also the music folder organisation is a massive bonus and keeps my music folder all nice & tidy.

Another top add-on that i use is iTSfv which validates, corrects the naming and finds album art for all tracks in the library. (which is a god send with over 15,000 tracks) You can also use iTSfv with WMP or "Others".

All in all, i use XP yes, but i have been using iTunes now for about 2 years.
And i dont own an iPod. For me it catalogues everything a little bit better.

And the built in Podcast support is excellent.

well iphone firstly get rid of the stupid bluetooth restriction and secondly hate itunes, dats the reason I dumped my nano and didnt buy the iTouch. Its just a hastle transferring data. Well wanna see the new iphone when it comes out, 5MP cam sounds neat. Till then me njoying the viewty

I have both Iphone and viewety and i prefer the Iphone because the touch screen on the viewety is not as smooth as iphone.

Although the camera is good on the viewety the viewing the pictures on the phone is horrible.

also no wifi on the viewety sucks.

and as i helped with the unlocks and installers, cydia and installer i know what the full potential is for the iphone.

I have an ipod touch and just recently got a veiwty (U990 on 3 in Australia). I didn't want an iphone because it doesn't have 3G and the battery life isn't that great, especially when using EDGE and Bluetooth and playing music and videos.

I am part of an ipod touch/iphone forum dedicated to hacking/jailbreaking the touch and iphone, so my ipod touch has many utilities and themes. But, the iphone/ipod interface is no where near as customizable as the viewtys interface (look at the iphone themes compared to the viewty themes), the iphone themes can only be different icons pictures and different backgrounds pics and different docks, where as the viewty interface is flash based and can have buttons/icons anywhere. The iphone also doesn't have a handwriting recognition app (there was a beta one in development but it killed the iphone and forced a restore) I would say purely as a phone, the viewty is better becasue of all the phone features it has, where as if u want media + phone the iphone is better.

One thing that is good about the iphone/ipod touch hacking is that it is impossible to brick the ipod, the worst that can happen is you have to restore it (all the loaders and restore menu are stored seperatly to everything else) and all it does is put a fresh copy of the firmware back into the ipod so you have to re-jailbreak and put ur apps back on.

I personally have a jailbroken ipod touch and a veiwty. I have a dedicated media player (ipod touch) which does it better than any other device and a dedicated phone (viewty) which does that better than any media player phone. So when i have wi-fi around me i use my ipod touch, and if i need mobile internet ill use my viewty.

Maybe when the 3G iphone comes out it might be different, but we wont know untill it comes out.

And yes, the ipod touch/iphone screen is better than the viewtys (smoother touch reaction, larger and has more colours), but the viewtys screen is still very good, my uni friend looked at my viewty and commented on how the handwriting recognition was very responsive and how the the reaction is better than some PDAs.

Viewty smokes iphone in almost every technical category except size, weight, UI and wireless. Depends what you want, i chose a viewty cos i like to upgrade (had a k800) not downgrade (iphone has worse camera and no flash??? no mms?)..viwety was upgrade in every way from my k800 so thats why i chose over iphone.

1. where in the WORLD did you hear that it will be getting a 5mp camera? thats garbage lol my Friend in NY has the 3g Iphone already(works for a branch of apple headquarters) and i can assure you that is FALSE. If the images he sent me was 5mp then apple has alot of explaining to do for the poor quality which is 99.9% equal to the 1st iphones quality.

2. I had an Iphone, unlocked it and used with tmobile, it was nice, i liked the revolutionary touch screen design aka. the reason the phone is famous but overall im happy with my viewty now. I sold the Iphone because all the unlocking and apple wanting to void your warranty stuff is stupid if you ask me, and 20 of 50 people i know with the Iphone have reported that SOME area of their screens does not work anymore.

As a matter of fact when i was in the International store last week buying my viewty, a guy came in with an Iphone looking for a charger and case, he was TRYING to take his Iphone off lock but the bottom half of his screen was not responding, it took him like 5 full minutes to keep trying to slide to unlock, I dont know what that problem is about but Im glad i dont have to worry about that any more lol.

By the way, the new iphone 3G will have all the good things which will match viewty's, but it'll be sold at no more than $199, so that everyone can enjoy it instead of being a luxury item. so.... i'm gonna have to say goodbye to my viewty i guess.
