Xperia X1 / HTC Touch Pro / T-Mobile G1?

Which do I get?

I want: Touchscreen (preferably a sensitive one) with a good resolution, QWERTY Keyboard, Good Internet/Mail support POP3/IMAP/Exchange would be +, and a good browser & music player.

Also it'd be nice to have a fluid, responsive UI, as a know few of the WinMo phones have stuttering problems on occasion.

Touch Pro is basically a Diamond with a keyboard, which means TouchFLO 3D and everything that goes with it. I found it pleasant and comfortable to use. Xperia is uncharacteristic for SE being a WM and I even believe it is made by HTC under a license. I found the screen somewhat lacking, I think it's somewhat less sensitive or capable. Both are slightly on a heavy side (says I who is owned by HTC Universal, haha), can't really thumb your way through Xperia and it offers no flash support. Keyboard-wise - Touch Pro, without a doubt. Screen-wise - Xperia is bigger.

G1 - not quite my cup of tea (yet), so not offering an opinion.

Software-wise you'll get more fun with WM, rather than Android, probably because one has been around longer and had more development going. IMHO anyway.

Well WinMo was my preferred choice, and the Touch Pro was the one that caught my eye first, but I've seen a video of someone running TouchFLO 3D as a panel on the Xperia, which got my excited about that (2 interfaces in one), and the big screen size is a plus for internet.

How do both touchscreens compare to the Viewty (if you've had one) ?

Also is it not possible to install Flash onto the Xperia, since its just a WinMo phone?

I assume we are talking about the touch interface and feel? Or resolutions/colors? I prefer VGA Touch Pro touchscreen feel to Viewty. Hell, I even prefer Prada's touch to Viewty, even without the haptic feedback! Or maybe it's just a habit that is difficult to break...

Interface-wise - again, no competition. I have a few WM phones running various Diamond ROM imitations and software, none will be quite the real thing, same goes for Xperia - it might look similar, but it won't be quite the same. Nothing beats the 3.5" screen size of Universal, really, hehe, but Xperia is slightly bigger, not sure if the difference is significant enough for me to play a part in making a decision.
Not sure about Flash on Xperia, sorry, all I know is no Flash support is available.

Bottomline: The best option would be, of course, to physically play with both and see which one feels right FOR YOU, simply because any opinion expressed or review offered will always remain a subjective personal opinion.

BTW, HTC is coming out with Dream - Android-based, fairly nice looking.

I've got TouchFlo running on my X1 and its fairly smooth.
As for the screen size, the X1 has a much greater resolution but I'm not sure on the actual dimensions.

Internet browsing can be a bit annoying but thats due to WinMo so I guess it will be the same on the Touch Pro.
I tend to boot up WMWifiRouter and go on the net via my ipod.

I think the X1 looks nicer and the Arc design is extremely helpful, when going from the X1 to the G1 without the Arc it is noticeable and does n't feel right

Speaking of internet browsing, I only use Opera 9.5, can't stand IE. At some point installed Picsel Browser - another lovely addition, but Opera won. Try it.
