How to unlock Nokia N95?

vodafone and t-mobile are unlocking thier handsets for free..I didn't believe it but just last week got my n95 unlock code off vodafone and it was indeed FREE..visit thier sites and have a look.

All you need to do it write to them as the following address:
Subpin Team

Include your Handset make & model (eg. Nokia 6120 Classic)
Your unique IMEI number (press *#06# on your phone to get this)
Also include a contact telephone number and your name & address (or alternatively, your email address).

you can use codes, or call into any decent phone repair shop, but be careful, to unlock the N95 regular, it has to be stripped to the mainboard and unlocked via test point

these can be done via code or by I-sim attachement that you put under the sim card

true, yoiu can use a code, but getting your network to provide the code is normally as hard as stapeling water to a wall without a container. and using something like an x-sim, tornado-sim or turbo-sim does work also, but they don't actually unlock the phone, they just allow you to use any sim card while the adapter is in place, so for resale purposes, is pointless.
best option is to either obtain the network code, usually #pw+10-15 digit code+1# or unlock the phone via test point. there was a short while ago a program that unlocked the phone via a small bug in the nokia repair server, but like all handy bugs, it was fixed so is now not available
meh, i feel like i'm ranting, but there ya go, all the options to unlock your nokia N95
next weeks topic, unlocking your sony-ericsson after you updated it using the upgrade server and it changed from CID 49, to CID 53

I agree it can be hard to get the networks to part with the code even for cash,

However I can supply Unlock codes for almost any phone so if you cant get it from them give me a shout as i have access to the servers
