Removing Pre Installed Games

Ok got it you need to hex edit the file _ms_db_ located in LGAPP/media/Java/ams remove all the entries in there with 00000000 but leave this now these files i have attached has Google map and MusicStation located in applicastions so now you can install your games with out the damn demos pressent if you don't have MusicStation then just download the second attachment this only has google map.

Also if you want to relocate your apps search for these strings

11270200 = Games Folder
11270300 = Applications Folder

If you want to add your games or apps to a custom folder the first folder you create ie. Full Games the code would be.

11270400 = Full Games

for the next folder you create would be.

11270500 = Test Folder

and so on.

so if you install the new google map 2.2.0 then you would look for this 11270200 and change it to this 11270300

this is the google map code in hex as you can see i have highlighted the code to be changed in red you would change the 0200 to 0300 for applications.

also the bit in blue is the folder location where it has been installed ie. M003 so you could change it to 0000 and it would be folder M000.

While in EFS did you use the TOTO method??

nup i just removed them i will try that in 2 mins thanks.

Ok same thing happens they are still there just greyed out cant play them as they are no longer on the phone.

Yeah you have to use TOTO when altering protected files. Just be sure to refresh after renaming.

This is what they look like after i delete them.

as you can see they are greyed out if you select them then pick launch nothing happens.

Not sure then, maybe there are other files linked to them for the images that you see, couldn't tell you what or where these might be. Try posting this in the games section, someone must have tried it before.

Have you tried getting rid of the games using the uninstall option, this should work fine?
