removing o2 logo from viewty - a step by step guide Thread

Hi,

i have been reading this forum for the past few days and have learned quiet a bit about my vietwy, so thanks for it guys.
however after following your guides step by step, i couldn't find the file '02.bmp' or the folder 'idle'.

i have the firmware 10c on the o2 network.
any help will be appreciated.

Same here, at leat somehow. Im on O2 and have deleted the O2 Bitmap as stated in the tutorial.

I thought it would remove that annoying Text at the bottom which says "O2 - De" but it did nothing.

That means, i had the file on my phone, but no logo from the beginning on.

So, is there a way to get rid of the text at the bottom?

Short answer: No.

I dont know how people can get confused so easily.
The Network Name is text, not a 'logo'.

The text display will be hard coded in the firmware, So no chance of removing (Not without decompiling and coding in C++ anyway).

Even if its an unbranded phone? does it pick it up from the simm or network
