Default File Manager Component Test

Heres a really chopped down version of what iv been working on in regards to the file manager component / functionality. Iv been concentrating on the protocols but got myself together and wrote a little demo. Any feedback / errors would be appreciated.

This demo just does a simple listing of root.

1) Start app
2) Select lg diagnostics port - this is normally the modem port+1 Depending how your system is setup ~COM 15
3) Hit connect

4) If ku990 / 20 is displayed.

If you dont see this you have selected the wrong port or your phone aint connected properly. Close app - try again.

5) Hit the get root button, you should see a list of folders, files and devices.

-----------------

This application does not in any way reflect the finished product it is just a container.

Any feedback on catastrophic errors, time outs etc is appreciated.

Regards

Nutter

(Any one notice the site is slower on this new hosting?)

I managed to just try this for you.

I have a Viewty locked to the 3 network with firmware 10a.

I selected com 8 and pressed connect. I get:

Port Open
990
20

I then click on Get Root.

The combobox seems to scroll with results, but each line is white text on white background, so Im guessing it isn't actually display the filename.

hi there Nutter.
I tried the tool, and it connected, however, allmost just like with ukp : the log combobox showed u990 instead of (i think it should have been) ku990, and a 20 beneath it. (20???)
pressing the "get root" button only added a lot of blank lines to the log.
(see screenshot)

i think we're close, but no cigar.

thanks go to evostance for finding this first:

however, you will have to ask nutter for the source of the filemanager component.
