do i need the LGMDP software to flash the orginal lg firmware? my lg viewty (optus, australia v10c i think) is seriously stuffed at the moment because i downloaded a improper en-UK.xml file and i didnt make a backup of the orginal...SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.....im dying here....

I'll help you mate

You will see your model under the battery in a sticker. If you have KU990 then download v10g OPN GB (You'll find it in the first page of this topic) and LGMDP.

Also you might need to backup the Flex folder (LGAPP/Media/Flex) so you won't have any network errors after the flash

You can use my Easy Viewty Flasher if you want to make easy the process of flashing

Use the LG-Utils-0.4.2 to convert the kdz to a cab file. In the cab you will find the DZ file!

first... I wanna thank you for your great Easy Viewty Flasher... really good work!

I just install a new firmware [KU990-DZ-V10g-AUG-12-2008-OPN-GB] to my phone using your utility. Everything works great but I have problem with connection to the internet... When I start my opera mini 5 beta 2 and I try to search any webpage I have this error message - Verification of server certificate failed. please check the date setting in your device.

my date and time are correct... (also I tried year 2009, 2008, 2007 - just to be sure)

in a gmail app I have error message that I don't have some certificats

the only thing what works fine is default browser and google maps.


my original firmware was from Orange SK (slovakia) I think it was KU990-DZ-V10g-AUG-12-2008-ORG-SK but they made there few mistakes for example you can't allow connection to the internet permanently but only "for now" it can be pretty annoying...

2. You can't search KU990i software on their website. I have a link but I can't post it (I'm not allowed to do). Although there is a thread with some KU990i firmwares
