I have currently the v10g OPEN (ku990-dz-v10g-jul-08-2008-open-eu.dz) on my Viewty.

Should i flash whit the ku990-dz-v10j-oct-21-2008-vdf-es.dz because the firmware v10g from jul´08 is older than the firmware v10j from oct´08?

no, the second one (ku990-dz-v10j-oct-21-2008-vdf-es.dz ) is for vodafone, the vdf.
It only changes operator specific things.

I have vodafone as my network operator. I thought the firmware v10j is better than the firmware v10g, because the v10g from jul´08 is older than the v10j from oct´08

if you want some operator specific things, you can just as easily change them your self. You dont need to reflash your phone. The different dates could mean that vodafone modified the firmware later than LG.

The firmwares only change things operator specific. It doesnt change anything important, so no firmware is better than the other.

It's best to flash Open 10G -> Vodafone 10G.
You can then flash Vodafone 10G -> Vodafone 10J if you wish, though I doubt you'll notice any difference.
