i cant get the software to work. Keep getting incorrect dll

i have found LGMDP World Edition 1.1
it's connetcing to phone and i was able to extract LGAPP into *.bin file, but i'm noob and don't know what to do with this
maybe someone will find this program useful

hmm ok, now how exactly did u do this what program did you use? and what did u click on?

LGMDP for euro phones then select port tick the box and click on connect
then tools ---> log excractor ---> connect and after program read from phone click excract
its creating recmngr.bin file in LGAPP folder on your computer
like i said i'm noob so i don't know what it is exactly (maybe it's not extracted LGAPP?
when i trying to do nv backup - windows shows me error message and closing LGMDP

Try to Mount the file in daemon tools and see what happens?

recmngr.bin is just one file in the LGAPP directory.
You can open this file in notepad.

Great find with the service manual Chris.
In my younger days I used to tinker with electronic designs a bit so it was great to see some of the circuit layouts.

It got me thinking about a possible audio mod as well.
The gsmarena review of the Viewty [url=http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_ku990_viewty-review-167p3.php:35e0audf]here[/url:35e0audf] shows the impact that filtering out all the low frequencies has had compared with the iPod.
I haven't yet been able to figure out whether this aggressive bass roll-off is due to the hardware, or whether it has been specified as a software configuration.
The service manual describe lots of info about the WM 8983 audio chip (pages 70, 175, 188) and the datasheet for this chip is readily available [url=http://www.wolfsonmicro.com/uploads/documents/en/WM8983.pdf:35e0audf]here[/url:35e0audf].
I think the best clue is in the overview text where it says:

Advanced on-chip digital signal processing includes a 5-band equaliser, a mixed signal Automatic Level Control for the microphone or line input through the ADC as well as a purely digital limiter function for record or playback. A programmable high pass filter in the ADC path is provided for wind noise reduction and an IIR with programmable coefficients can be used as a notch filter to suppress fixed-frequency noise.

The high pass filter would be important for making calls but not for listening to music. If there was a way of controlling it automatically or manually that would be a great improvement for me.

I'm probably being far too anal about this! It's still a great phone (although I do have some reservations about the camera quality) but I am certainly aware of the relative lack of any bass response when listening to music.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings. I love this forum and have been reading and assimilating as much as I can here so just wanted to contribute some thoughts.
