the reason will be the aerial connection was compromised either when you dropped the handset or when it was repaired. The screen may have been fixed, but the aerial damage was either missed by or caused by the repairers.
I have recently carried out a re-flash on a Samsung Tocco (F480) using your guide. The guide was spot on and worked perfectly. My reason for carrying out this process was the fact that the phone is a nightmare for losing reception/dropping calls and when sending a text can take several attempts and may not always send.
The phone can have full reception for a matter of seconds and then have no reception in the same spot!!
Do you have any other suggestions of why this can be occurring? Could there be an issue with the in-built receiver/ariel?? Admittedly this issue only started to occur when the phone was dropped which broke the screen.
The screen was replaced and then the reception issues started.
When I performed the re-flash I used the latest PINK firmware. Should I have used an earlier version? The phone was purchased brand new from the Carphone warehouse in March 2009.
Many thanks in advance for all you r superb guides and advice.
