Default Major battery problem.

Hey guys. Approximately 3 weeks ago my mate's Renoir started draining a full battery to 0 with 5 seconds if video recording. I laughed at him and poked fun at his bad luck.
This week my battery has started dishing out karma to me for laughing at my mate, and I can't seem to figure out why it's draining to fast. On a full charge, directly off the charger from overnight, I can only get 8.5 minutes of music playing through the phone's speaker, compared to my long-gone ability to play music through the speaker for hours on end with barely any battery loss.

If it was just my phone that did this, I'd probably just go "Pfft, shitty battery" and order a new one, but I'm conclusive that it's a problem with the phone as it's happened to two seprate phones now.
My mate fixed his by replacing his battery, but before I go and search for a battery I'd like anyone with a possible solution to please post.

Just to note, I constantly have Bluetooth in, I regularly use Wi-Fi, I'm usually using the camera/video and I'm often listening to music. This should all have no effect on the longitivity of the battery life as I have a shitty old Sony Ericcson, and I can do the exact same thing and it drains piss all battery.

Help!

Running all of those connectivity / media applications will drain the battery faster than normal though.

I can usually get a weeks worth of standard use out of my battery (few phone calls / texts a day, no music or video though). But as soon as I start to use the camera or listen to music, I have to keep it on charge overnight.

I don't know for certain, but it's likely to be a battery issue rather than software related to the phone. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong though.

I'll turn bluetooth off and post any differences in terms of battery life here.

get a new battery, I've had this problem last week, bought a new battery and solved all problems. The old battery wasn't giving me the time to even listen to one song on speakers ;/

Now I'm with a new one and happy again

I shouldn't have to spend my money because of LG's fuckup in the software or battery or whatever the fucking problem is.
