Default MGP Firmware Release v13e - May 18 2009 !!!

This firmware is not suitable for all American netowrks, only 1900MHz and 850MHZ supported (same as standard firmwares)

This firmware is not suitable for the KC910e, KC910i and KC910Q (will cause brickage)

Current version is v13e
Reliabity and performance improvements in SWF interface, rebuilt PXO archive from scratch to improve consistency. previous versions had become too confusing with too many subversions.

v13e highlights:
-Supports EU and eastern european languages. Limited russian support. NO CHINESE
-100% compatible with renoir-NextGen from dkk314
-Colour coded Java buttons
-Removed java nag screens
-5 full screen java apps, Google Maps, G-Maps, Opera Mini (updated), EBuddy (updated) and Amaze GPS (updated)
-5 extra widgets compared to standard firmware: Renoir Portal, Direct Java access, Amaze GPS,Google News, Operator WAP page
-Unique widget icons
-Renoir Portal used as the google widget link. this gives you 1 click access to facebook, MGP, myspace, bebo and LG mobile, as well as a google search.
-Improved media browser
-Improved image and video performance
-PXO modifications for speed and response
-MGP themed startup & sound
-Inclusion of all artwork contributions to date
-Flex files for EU, Asian, Australian and misc providers
-Improvement of accelerometer response
-Reduction of power consumptoin compared to 11x releases
-Auto rotate of video playback
-Play by album working in "Music"
-Camera interface improvement
-Reliability improvements

Things you need to know
During my research on making this new build from scratch, i discovered that the fastest base firmware we have is 10j-OPN-EU stranglely enough. so that is what this is based on. Unfortunatly, the 10j-APR-2009 release from Taiwan has absolutly no benefits other than a better image processor and camera, hence those component inclusions in 13e.

If coming from 13a / b / d you can flash with "keep all contents" so you dont have to set up your phone or lose any data on it. from all other firmwares a "erase EFS" is necessary.

On this release you can still use the alternate PXO available in the mediafire repository to improve the menu speed a little more. If you do use it, you will not have access to the "GPS" or "Synch" menus.

Known Bugs
When exiting the camera mode by using the red button, the screen will say "Add Contact" instead of "Please Close The Lens" no big deal and the better camera is worth it

BEFORE YOU FLASH
Fully charge your phone
Backup your NV file (tutorial on this on first post in the official firmware thread)
make sure you know how to use LGMDP

HOW TO FLASH
Unpack the archive to a directory on your desktop
Open LGMDP

Now, make sure your phone is connected. in the "Image folder" box, navigate to the folder where you unpacked the firmware. Select "Erase EFS" from the drop down box, Click start, wait 25 mins, enjoy

Scrolling vibration restore: Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
extract, and use EFS to copy the contents of the "scrolling" folder to /lgapp/media/keytone sounds/IVT/

Default Java apps: Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
extract, and copy the "ams" folder over the contents of /lgapp/media/java/. this will restore the 5 full screen java apps if you factory reset / mess up etc.
