Well, in my village, I get edge with full bars so pretty good reception for me. Although it depends where you live.

I have never been disconnected when talking to someone, although i rarely ring anyone.

And lastly, when you first buy the phone, the battery life is really bad. If you charge it from empty to full (0 to 100%) around 4 times the battery lasts longer.
I can have around 1-2 days battery life with constant use, with about 3-5 days with it mostly on standby.

Hope this helps

I've never been cut off mid call by it, but if you're getting it on the 3 network, beware!!

it's bloody horrible, the signal will be full one minute, then randomly disappears for anything up to like a half hour at a time.
it's not a problem with the viewty, its the network (go google, you'll soon see)

other networks, get on the appropriate website and use their network coverage tool to check your area. so long as you're well covered, you really shouldn't have any problems with the phone itself

My Viewty works fine too, but it seems to be more sensitive to signal loss than my previous Sony Ericsson K700i; when calling my friend on a different network with less coverage than mine, I had more than ten situations where I hear garbled sound for 1 second then the sound goes off completely, this didn't happen on the SE. (might be that since his phone is 3G too, it's a problem with 3G coverage while on the k700i I was connecting to normal GSM)

I get around 2-3 bars of HSDPA signal in my house but obviously it depends where in the world you live. I tend to get network drops a few times a day for a minute or two. The battery isn't too bad, I normally get about 2-3 days out of it.

My phone is completely intact, I hacked it, then I unhacked it, had problems, got the MBCP (motherboard) replaced and so it's completely intact and I haven't hacked it, and it depends if you use internet and call alot as well. Switching your phone to GSM will also help with battery life.

K, I want to set my phone to GSM.
But there are two types of GSM on the phone.
Here are the choice.

Which one do I pick?
GSM 900/1800
GSM 1900

Right now it's on automatic.
And there is one more it's called "UMTS".
