Default Still Hope? Or Back To The Shop???

Ill start from the beginning... I changed LGAPP to TOTO in order to back it up, completely forgot to change back to LGAPP, so i had the refreshing screen. Simply reconnected and thought id be smart and just rename the newly created LGAPP to TOTO and they would merge and somehow sort itself out. Lol how wrong i was.

Then i tried to put my back up of TOTO onto my phone only to get error 28 i think it was, whichever means insufficient memory, thats the one i got. So apparently there were some "phantom" files which were nowhere to be found but still took up room.

As a last resort i attempted to flash it using "LGMDP_H3G_SC_mod_Ku990" Which i am noob to lol, as i created the english guide which is used in the Wiki section. Although this time it didn't go as smoothly as it did last time.

I couldn't get it to flash at all it kept saying "media writing error" or something like that. So i got my phone into "emergency download" by mashing the Answer Call + Cancel + End Call + Phone lock. This flashes "fine" but when it reboots it will not start up, or even go into refreshing. It will just constantly reboot. Only god knows how many hours ive spent refreshing in emergency download mode lol and still with no luck. Was just wondering if anyone has experienced this and found a way to fix, or heard of it being done. If not dont want to waste my time, ill just take it back and get a new one or a, dare i say, different phone if offered lol.

Dont fret i will only accept if they offer me a N95 8gb lol. Other wise to hell with them, but only after they give me a new viewty.

What firmware did you use? I managed to brick mine and bring it back from the dead so maybe I can help you.

10a, ive also bricked my viewty lol. Hence how i came across LGMDP, also why i made the guide on how to use it lol. But basically i just need to figure out how to get it to stop rebooting, ive heard doing the flash while in emergency download mode enables the phone to be read by efs. Not the case with my phone, as it constantly reboots and i cant connect at all, except if its in emergency download mode. While in Emergency Download mode efs cannot find the phone, which is quite annoying.

I had the same issue with my phone constantly rebooting, the lg mobile logo would come up and then it would restart itself.

The way I fixed it was from the lgmdp software when its trying to find the phone double click on it and then very quickly click on connect if you time this right it will then say connected.

Even better if it then prompts for the firmware files then you can follow the guide.

Did you backup your flex.ini and flex folder as if this does not match you will see an INVALID USIM message.

What Network are you on?

Im with vodafone, and my original firmware is 10a, ive done a flash restore before with no problems, all i had to do was re-enter my internet details. lol and trying to connect with LGMDP while the phone is reseting wont work, because even "if" it connects its just gonna reboot, the phone isnt "stable" enough. Hence the constant rebooting lol. Ill try it, but am in serious doubt over this lol.

Your best bet is to search around the forum for another users flex.ini file, failing that if you made a backup you can restore from that?

Or you could look at the wiki and download the orange firmware and get the flex.ini from there

Hope that helps!

Lol i would load my backup but am unable to connect with EFS, hence why i have not just mearly uploaded my backup.

*update on situation:
I took my phone back to the store and they have sent it off to LG. Said may take 1-3/4 weeks. Such a precise date he gave me, i feel his accurate time spacing he gave me may just be right. If its more than 4 weeks ill just kill everyone. So if you live in australia, beware. I also asked what happens if LG cannot fix it, They will give me a new one. That sounds awesome, although there arent any new updates or anything yet, so not sure if there will even be any improvements to my old one, Or even if it will be worse.

Will post news as it comes in.
