another yellow screen... (u990)

ok, i've reflashed the firmware and erased efs, now i have yellow screen with "unavailable media file"

You flashed to KU990 ? If yes, now you only need to reflash with a .dz firmware again. I suggest KU990-DZ-V10g, if you need download link let me know

nah just flashing to u990 10d, the same as it was before.

then i copied the original TOTO backup i had back to it and now it works!

so to flash from u990 to ku990, what do i need to do there? i took a wild guess that you could just flash it to ku990 10g with lgmdp, but i got the "select ku990 image" error, so now i'm unsure. though i'll probably want to do it in the future.

edit: another problem it's sim locked again. it was unlocked before, but not now. the TOTO folder was from when it was unlocked, but not sure about the nv file, so should i just restore that?

To flash to KU990 you will need to flash through the other method which you select a folder with bin files.

So you will have 2 folders. 1 with KU990 bin files and 1 with U990 bin files

You will go to LGMDP select the KU990 bins and in the Media and Modules you will put the U990 media and modules bin files.

After the flash you will just flash a .dz firmware of KU990 and you'll be fine

Your problem is that you forgot to backup the Flex folder.

sounds fairly straight forward. do you have a link to ku990 bin folder?
if i flash it to ku990 while it's still sim locked, will that permenantly lock it or can i then use one of the 2 methods that work for ku990s without hassle?
