Unhappy Yellow Screen, Can't Access Files

Hello, i've got a few weeks old LG Viewty KU990i and I changed the screenlock stuff which worked fine then I tried to install Theme Manager but it gave me an error when I tried moving the Themes folder to Theme folder. (I had no memo card)

Now it deleted the texts of the menus on my phone and gave me an error on the main screen, so I just went back to delete the Themes folder only but nothing else. The error dissappeared but I had the problem with the menus.

Then when I had a backup of the firmware I decided to reset it all with that, but then accidentally i went to delete the LGAPP folder entirely and couldn't stop it, cancel didn't work nothing.

The result was the yellow screen of death, and as I launch EFS Media Builder it gives me 3 popups that describes that there is no directory like that or something with Ok on them.

I could still write the old LGAPP folder in the blank space but as it started writing the PXO directory folders and things it gave me an error and couldn't continue the writing from that.

I then searched and searched all this evening till this part of night and found that I could flash it with that program for pro users.

Well the problem is that whenever I press anything it sometimes gives an error and disconnects from the port and sometimes crashes atleast from one place, so I can't access the place where you can start flashing and set things up.

I can access Gang Image Mode and I'm with it atm trying to move the LGAPP folder again to the blank space but still into the phone hoping it could work.

So is there anything I can do? I will try fixing it for atleast a month and if it doesn't work, I'll lie on the floor for 2 months.

Please help me, It's the most wonderful thing i have and I can't afford anything now as i've bought tools for it.

Of course you can fix it. By the way, if you don't have a memory card you need to install Theme Manager 3.2 and into the themes.xml file you need to edit it to 0 or 1 so it should work and read the Themes from the LG's Internal Memory (Just check the Theme Manager 3.2 guides).

There are 2 ways to bring your phone back to life , and of course free. One way is to flash the firmware to your phone (which will be faster and easier and I suggest it) and the other one is to rename your backup from LGAPP to TOTO, copy to your phone with EFS and when you find it in your phone then rename it back to LGAPP.

To flash your firmware, you need to download LGMDP for KU990i (Download). The fastest firmware for your KU990i is v10a (Download). You need to select "DZ" button on LGMDP and then on those 3 options select "Erase EFS" and select your .dz file you downloaded from the link above.

If you need more information please post your questions here or add me on msn (atimoterataki@hotmail.com)

Thanks for this quick answer! I'm trying the TOTO trick then and see if it'll show up on the phone memory. The flashing doesn't work atleast with LGMDP as it won't bring up that box from any of those buttons, the Select Image is totally dead, nothing happens from it.

I'm in trouble if this doesn't work now, =( unless you can work out what can be the issue with LGMDP?

Added ya on msn

Ahh yes trying the flash tool for the i version. =) and with that firmware now

You only gave the link to several other binary file firmwares? The 1st link is for the Dengel which includes the firmware binaries, and the 2nd one only a firmware.

Seems like I can't get LGMPD to work or get on the box where you can select the firmware and such still.. The writing on the phone trough the TOTO named backup failed on error 28

note that i can't see any files/folders in EMS Media Builder phone

Error 28 means that you don't have much memory left on your phone. So your only chance now is to get LGMDP working. To do that you need to tell me which version of windows do you have (Example Windows XP) and you need to download "Teamviewer" (search that on google).

And please login to msn

This dude made it work! Thanks so much mate, you will always be remembered. =)

Solved by installing the right program and firmware in .dz format.

Download from here << New List of All Available Themes >> Origlinal Lg viewty themes (at bottom of the post)! There is no need to delete something just to replace in LGAPP\Media\swf\theme using EFS Tool!
Hope this will resolve your problem!
