Default Lost LGAPP folder (KU990)

The firmware version that came with the phone:
I don't know, I am sorry.

The network you are on:
Simobil Vodafone (Slovenian provoider)

Language you phone is in:
Originaly, I bought the phone in Austria, so the first language was German. Later when I used it I was swaping betwen English and Slovenian. I think it was English just b4 I've managed to brick it (i hope i used the word "brick" correcly).

Whether your phone was/is locked:
Nope, I don't think so, since I was able to explore it with EFS explorer.

A FULL description of what you attempted and HOW you attempted it:
Okay. I will try to write this as clean as possible.

One day, I decided to install a cool theme i found on youtube to my phone (VTOCCO). To do that, I had to use EFS explorer, so I did.

The whole problem (I think) started after I renamed the LGAPP folder to TOTO folder, and reset the phone. After I reconnected the phone, I renamed the TOTO folder to Backup or something. I am not sure, how it went correctly, but I remember that I had some problems and at some point I renamed the folder to something random. When I did reset the phone I couldnt find any of those folders or the file contained.

So my assumption is that there is the folder with original contains of LGAPP folder on my phone, since I am not able to make a fresh LGAPP folder from any of my backups, because i get Error 28 (meaning phone is out of memory). I assume that folder is somewhere on the phone but hidden.

I did try to "Write" fresh LGAPP folder but I ran out of space.

What happens when you turn the phone on, detailing any error messages?

Yellow screen with refreshing, im sure you are familliar with that

I'd make a short note here: The LGAPP folder was originaly empty until I tryed to restore the phone from backing the LGAPP folder. As mentioned above, I ran out of space and I suspect the "hidden" LGAPP folder. That explains why LGAPP is not empty (except for media, pxo and temp empty folders).

Furthermore, I'd like to thank you for replaying so fast. Much appriciated.

Regards,
Egej

Yeah, I will need help with that. I've heard I'd need to know my original firmware version for flashing. Is that true? Because I don't know that. Furthermore, if you have skype or something like that, I would be realy happy if you could guide me trough the process. If you have skype, I could broadcast my screen so you could correct me if im doing something wrong, since I've heard flashing a phone might be a little bit more dangerous action where you realy shouldn't screw up.

Just to let you all know: We managed to fix the problem by flashing the phone. (Thank you eoghan_2t7). Furthermore, we did install the theme I wanted to install in the first place and its working (thank you Joseph Earl for the theme and directing me to this forum).

Asixer you need to flash your Viewty with LGDMP to an OPEN firmware and in those 3 options when selecting the .dz firmware file you need to select "Erase EFS". That should do the job and eoghan_2t7 says it work so try and tell us

If you need help just send me a PM and I will give you my msn or skype or ICQ
