Last step before reflash then...

Try taking out battery and see if you can connect then. If not then you have no choice but to reflash. My thread on Proper Firmware Flash will help you to do this.

As to why you have files missing from LGAPP, i have no idea.. Sure you didnt hit delete by accident? Were you messing with the PXO files?
I killed mine by doing that..

Software revisions (V10a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h etc) are NOT updates but different Brandings! Swapping them will lose operator functions like MMS, internet etc! If you are unsure, don't do it!

so, i didn`t really break my phone, i just erm...changed it and need some help please.
the problem is:i`m on vodafone and tried out some more themes, replaced the 1 folder, shortcuts.xml and the .swf. afterwards, i wanted to have the original files back again, so i copied the backup files u can get here on the forum, named v10a-tmobile branded.somehow overread the "tmobile-branded" and now, i have wrong shortcuts in the main menu, phone section, there are 4 too much icons: web`n walk, mobile tv.jukebox and t-zones. the normal menu is beneath the wrong, so there are actually 8 icons where 4 should be.
what can i do to have my normal v10a menu again?
thx very lot for your help
maybe someone can help me?

Just replace Shortcuts.xml & shortcuts.swf to your original versions. If you do not have these then you will need to find a backup.

You will need to change the language xml file back to your original one. I believe the German one is de.xml and it should be using this one. You open these up in a text editor and see.

Are your icon titles in German? if so then you need to get the de.xml file from your back up and replace it with the one on the phone.

The **.xml files in the swf folder deal with the language, shortcuts and icons.

Due to the raise workload and expected short but intense support requirements, vuite is cancelled. LG have dropped the viewty like a hot potato, don't blame us.

The firmware version that came with the phone. = 10a
The network you are on. = T-Mobile
Language you phone is in = English
Whether your phone was/is locked = not sure
A FULL description of what you attempted and HOW you attempted it
What happens when you turn the phone on, detailing any error messages?

All I was doing was moving games into the Others folder using EFS. I decided to move my sim card from my LG back to my Sony Ericsson K800i to take a note of a couple of mobile numbers that I wanted to include in my "contacts". When I switch my LG Viewty back on after reinsterting the sim card I get a yellow screen with the word Refreshing up the top left hand corner. I'm not pretty much shitting myself because I think i've probably fucked my phone up good and proper. Any help appreciated.

First question, is why are you installing games using EFS? Use the LG software, it safes on headaches.

Secondly as the man with the new shiny green name ( )suggests, you have probably forgotten to rename your LGAPP folder.
