Are you positive you have the volume dial turned up on the hands free mic / adapter thingy? When I have this turned up and the volume control set to about 4 bars on the Viewty it's more than I can listen to comfortably.

Just a thought... if that doesn't help then sorry, no idea.

Use freeware "MP3Gain"
set all your mp3 songs
volume to "100/9db"

I can only suggest gettin ur ears shringed maybe. I second what Jemster said, its loud enough for me. Check what quality they are as 320kbps will generally play louder than lower quality mp3s, 192 are usually fine but 128 is a no go for me with mp3 players & phones

Ok if you think the viewty has a low sound when playing MP3s you would be right, but a simple fix is here, http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/download.php download this small free program, once installed you just direct a full folder of all your mp3 music, it does a test to see what your files db are, default is 89db,my files all came in around 85db to 90db,you can set it to change them all to the max db which is 105db, i must say a huge difference my ears are soar now just read the help segment on the program it will tell how to change all your files at the same time,it is really simple,

One thing it just changes the files on your pc, so i had to reinstall my music but well worh it....

As I said in the other post becareful using this method as increasing the volume can make the music clip.

Quote:
When an amplifier is pushed to create a signal with more power than it can support, it will amplify the signal only up to its maximum capacity, at which point the signal will be amplified no further. As the signal simply "cuts" or "clips" at the maximum capacity of the amplifier, the signal is said to be "clipping." The extra signal which is beyond the capability of the amplifier is simply cut off, resulting in a distorted waveform.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clipping_%28audio%29

Basically it's when it starts to sound a bit distorted and you get blips in the music. MP3 Gain will actually say if the new volume level will cause clipping.
