Air Sharing Review

Air Sharing is a application that turns your iphone into a memory stick of sorts but the best thing is that its wireless.

Air Sharing is free at the momment but will cost about £3.49 ($6.99) from about 22nd September.

When you open Air Sharing you will be faced with an excellent tutorial that will show you how the app works and how to set it up with you PC / Mac or Linux box.

Once connected to Air Share you can upload and add new files to your iPhone and they will show as a directory.

While either viewing the list of documents or files that you have upload you can use the pinch feature of the iphone to see more info about the files / docs.





Air Share uses the available space on you iphone to hold your documents that you need on the move.

Air share Viewable formats include: iWork, Office, Web Archive, Web Page, PDF, HTML, RTF, RTFD, Plain Text, Source Code, MPEG-4, H.264, 3GPP, all iPhone Audio formats, and Image formats including Gif, PNG, JPG, TIFF, and more.

The app also uses the iphones accelerometer so you can view these formats easier.

To mount Air Share with windows you will need to download the windows patch from here.

Air Share has the has many settings to allow you to have public access, password protected and a time out feature also. This is all covered in the tutorial when opening the app for the first time.

Overall this is a great app if you need to carry alot of files with you. The speed is great and userbility is next to none.
