New Iphone 3G S

Got the phone the first day it came out. I just wanted to let everyone know my take on it. Its much faster than the 3G. The camera is much better. Voice control actually works very well. The compass is pretty badass (i know it sounds stupid lol). The video it takes look awesome! Don't want to start a Viewty vs Iphone fight here but the video is MUCH better than my Viewty was (ofcourse besides the slow motion which was badass on the Viewty and i can't zoom (yet, there will prob be an app for it).

Well worth the upgrade from ether previously iphones.

That makes you and me the only 2 so far that have it then. I totally agree with you on every score. I would even go as far as to say that the photo's come out better than the viewty's too, and to prove it i will post some test photo's.

I don't think you're going to have people queuing up to defend the Viewty too much. As it is 2 years old and just as buggy now as it was on day of release.

Anyway iPhones may be "err like so cool, oh my god" but they're no Touch Pro 2

I got the Touch Pro 2 and the MBW-150 exec watch unlike the guy in the vid below (whos just got a Touch Pro and the standard watch) but here's some of the cool phone to watch stuff I got going on through the Touch Pro 2. Phone actually reads out the text in message / email on watch screen now.

No, but seriously i got nothing against iPhones, they're very elegant and do what they do well. Shockingly unuseful for a businessman as no keyboard or multitasking but still look very cool.

Had a renoir before(nice phone but ringtone volume seemd far too low even at full) and now got a 3gs, which is a great phone! LOUD(yay!)fast, great camera and video (never used renoirs slow mo so don't miss 3gs not having it) its a pity you cant use custom message tones but other than that, loverly stuff!

Dont worry after the 3G[S] gets jailbroken by the dev team you will be able to change whatever you like.

Daz, i haven't tried the touch pro 2 but i did have the Touch HD which is very similar and both iphone 3g and 3gs are much better than the HD. Iv'e had the LG vu the viewty the OMnia and a Hd and non compare to the iphone 3g or 3gs.

I too have now joined the move from viewty to iphone, waited for the 3gs and picked up the last 32g left in the shop.

As much as i adored my lg the iphone has impressed me in ways i didnt think it would.

So now i got the bug to get the emulators on it, after seeing a number of guys with ps1 emulators running i doubt i will put this thing down for some time.

any one know the best emulators to use for the 3gs or do we need to wait for the jailbreak expected to happen with the release of the 3.1 OS.

It is best to wait for the jailbreak. ZodTD is the dev who makes the emulators, and he has got a version of his psx for iPhone available for the 3G[S] but is currently charging $10 as you have to be put on his dev account or something, but after jailbreak you can get the emulators for free. And you will be happy to know that with the new faster processor and extra ram, these games look awesome, I saw him showcasing FF7 the other day and it looked like it was actually a real console version.

I'm glad our iPhone section is growing, lets keep it up guys
