The Wiki - New Problems Section

I have added a new Frequently Asked Questions / Problems section to the Wiki for the KU990, hopefully it will reduce a lot of the repeat questions in the forums. See http://www.mygreatphone.com/wiki/ind...s_and_Problems.

However there is still some important information missing, so if you know the answer to a problem or where the answer can be found, please let me know.

The most important pieces of information that are missing from the Wiki are:

• Theme Manager Installation Guide (+ a video tutorial would be good)
• Adding Themes to Theme Manager (same again, if anyone has a video it would be very useful)
• Flashing software
• How to Flash your phone (+ links to firmware)

Thank you for posting this, I wish I had found it earlier. I've just bought a second hand KU990 so I'm looking for all the information I can find.
Two things that could usefully be added to the FAQ -
- which versions of GoogleMaps work, and how to install them. Viewty doesn't have GPS but other phones make a stab at telling you where you are from whichever station you are connected to
- the best way of converting flv videos to run on the KU990. It all seems very hit and miss with some videos working perfectly, some not at all, and some only playing the sound.

PS. why are the last posts on the threads so often quite old? Has everyone moved on to other phones?

Afriad so pal, the ku990 came out in November 2007, most peoples contracts have ended or are about to end.

Yes I know,I wasn't looking for the answers, I was making suggestions for the FAQ. All right, I know it's a wiki so I can alter it myself but I'm just starting and don't want to get flamed for making additions which aren't true.

OK, one more suggestion for the wiki and I don't know the answer to this one. There are limited suggestions on where to get new applications. Notably, brothersoft and getjar are missing - is this because software from there is likely to be riddled with malware or is random software likely to be quite safe?

Unfortunately, the Wiki was permanently retired some time ago guys.

Thankyou for taking an interest, but as you are the first since probably last year, you can see my point.
