The Chatbox, FAQ's and Rules

Hi All,

Here at My Great Phone we're all about community spirit and so we want you to be able to chat to your friends that you make within the site.

To make this possible we've implemented a very clever ajax driven Chatbox, all tied into your user account so that you can chat to your hearts content.

When using the Chatbox please bare in mind a few small rules:

Chatbox Rules

1. Chatbox chat should not be asking questions which can already be answered by searching the forums. Remember this is a forum based site and content is what keeps us popular.

2. If a user asks a question which is answered and this is not already in the forum's system, please make a post and post the info to help others (or pm it to me and I'll add it).

3. No posting links to Pornography, Child Pornography, NSFW images or content, Pirate software or anything else which is thought to be illegal.

4. No using the Chatbox to advertise your website, services or products.

5. Chatbox chat should be kept clean at all times. No swearing, unreasonable or insulting behaviour. We keep a log of 100% of chat and audit this regularly.

In all cases breaking these rules could land you with a ban so please help the site and be friendly at all times

OK these rules were not followed at all.

Every dingle day whenever I log on all is see is questions for help with phones despite continuously asking users not to.

Any questions put in the chatbox rarely get answered due to the quick turnover and also don't get indexed so does the site no good.

Because of this the chatbox will be removed from the forum index page until further notice.

You are still fully able to use the chatbox inf ull by clicking the tab or the link in the navbar.

Should you wish to have somebody help you through a process using the chatbox:

• Post you issue in the forum
• Wait for a reply
• If somebody offers to help you through a process arrange (by pm or post) a time that you'll both be in chat
• Log in and complete your process.

Thanks for your understanding, this site was founded on a strong forum, it needs to remain that way.

Remember your questions will be answered a lot faster in the forum.
